Ashes tour starter in Cardiff expected to be conducive for spinners

Most awaited tour in Cricket world is Ashes tour and it is fast approaching. The high quality cricket is always witnessed between the traditional rivals. Ashes tour is going to start in July after Twenty20 world cup.

However the first test is going to kick off in Cardiff. It has raised eyebrows. England players and cricket pundits are not happy of having an Ashes test in Cardiff as there are traditional grounds like Old Trafford and Trent Bridge are very much available. Even Shane Warne expressed his dissatisfaction over the venue.

Cardiff pitch is expected to turn miles. In a recent county match Glamorgan struggled in the hands of Sussex for 57 runs for 7 wickets at one stage. They recovered and scored 124 runs was other part of the story. But England Graeme Swann playing it down and mentions that the pitch will be tailor made to be fit for 5 days.

England team is expected to play two spinners. Both Graeme Swann and Monty Panesar are expected to take the spin department. Shane Warne gave all praise for England spinners. He predicted that Australians might lose in the hands of English spinners.

Australian Coach Tim Nielsen told that England was renowned to prepare neutral pitches for the visiting team. Nielsen told that he is going to wait and watch since he is going to other country. He further justified that it is ok even if Cardiff pitch is conducive for spin and even in Australia, he will expect hard and bouncy track in Perth and Brisbane. Australians did not find any quality spinners till date after the retirement of Shane Warne and Stuart MacGill but on contrast England team is possessing two quality spinners in Monty Panesar and Graeme Swan.

When Cardiff offers good to spin, then no doubt Australian batsmen should apply themselves to combat with that.
